Two sisters who tried to open a restaurant in Vancouver and failed. No, seriously. We signed a lease, built a menu, worked with architects, electricians and contractors and after years of dealing with the City of Vancouver’s red tape, crashed and burned. After breaking our lease, we lost hope in our dream to share our culinary passion with our city. But we kept cooking and hosting private dinner parties for our friends and family until, one day, we wondered what would happen if we opened it up to strangers for one night only. We created a menu, posters, mood boards and table scapes, and finally, we made tickets available to the public not knowing if we would actually sell a single ticket. To our surprise, our first Supper Club sold out. So we hosted another one, and that sold out too. And another. And another. Here we are, several Supper Clubs later, still selling out event after event. We realized that our dream hadn’t hit the end of the road like we thought, it had just taken a new, unconventional path. Luckily for us, we’ve never been very conventional people anyways.
